Deep-reasoning faith is a strong cornerstone
Around which those who walk with steady feet, Because they do not seek the way alone, Build walls to form a welcoming retreat, It keeps undimmed the precious altar light Called Life, and offers peace when, stumblingly, Come crying, “Sanctuary” from dark night Meek souls, to kneel" before Infinity. This humble work, well done, is softly blessed, For simple 'beauty needs no windswept spire Nor nave nor transept of cathedral dressed In majesty: with worshippers a choir, Transmuted into music it will rise Forever through God’s fastness of the skies.
