As we experience another new opportunity for beginning and starting fresh - Lent comes in to show us that we always have the opportunity to turn our hearts Godward. I am very excited about different opportunities that are ongoing and starting. In March, I’ll be starting a Tuesday night “Knit Night” with a friend. We’ll meet in the lounge at 7pm. You don’t have to knit. If you’d like to learn, we will help! Bring whatever handcraft you have to work on or want to learn. This will NOT be replacing the Thursday knitting group that meets during the daytime! This is just an evening option for those who aren’t able to meet midday.
I have been meeting regularly with some of our new members and a couple long time members about our “Disciple Making Plan” and we have been making progress! Our progress will be presented soon and there may be more opportunities for action and service ahead. We have invited our friends from Faith and Scotia UMCs to join us for our in-person Lenten study “The Prodigal God” Mondays at 1pm in Lent. They have likewise invited us to participate in their zoom study on Monday evenings at 7pm. I’m sensing a lot of momentum in the congregation and I think the Spirit is working here! So excited and blessed to be a part of this congregation! If you’re looking for a way to connect to what is going on, trust that there is space and friendship and welcome for you here and just show up! We’d love to see you! Blessings! Pastor Kristi
